He was then known as a reformer with ideas of his own – until his death in 2004.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Dr. John Pepino, PhD<\/b><\/strong>, who originally hails from the South of France, is a Professor of Latin, Greek, and Patristics. He teaches at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in the USA.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Dr. Pepino’s <\/span>paper on Father Louis Bouyer and the Liturgical Reform, which in addition to both English and French published material, relies heavily on Fr. Bouyer\u2019s still-unpublished tell-all Memoirs. It seeks to outline what reforms Bouyer called for in the pre-conciliar Mass as well as what he denounced in the post-conciliar liturgy. Such an overview may provide some understanding of what motivated the reformers as well as provide a lucid assessment of the current ordinary form of the Mass by someone who collaborated in its redaction.
